No relief to OMC MD from CBI custody

HYDERABAD: The petition filed by BV Srinivas Reddy of the Obulapuram Mining Company in the High Court questioning the order of the the special CBI court remanding him to police custody till September 19 has become, for all practical purposes, infructuous.Justice S Govindarajulu on Friday dispensed filing of the original order. The matter on merits will come up on Monday at the earliest by which time the order will have worked itself. With the court not taking up the case on merits on Friday, the petitioner will have to be in custody till Monday on which day the period will expire.
