Notification Issued for Banswada Bypoll

NIZAMABAD: With the election notification for Banswada bypoll issued on Monday, election heat has caught up in the constituency.
According to sources, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, who had quit the Telugu Desam party, resigned from his MLA post for the cause of Telangana and joined the TRS, seems to be the frontrunner in the contest. He is likely to file his nomination on Sept 23. There is immense support to Pocharam in all villages in the constituency and the ongoing Sakalajanula Samme is serving a boon to the Tleader.The Congress, it is learnt, is mulling to field DCC president Gadugu Gangadhar or former speaker K Suresh Reddy as its candidate for the bypoll while the TD has been asking all political parties to boycott polls till Telangana was carved out.
