The release of 4,00,000 cusecs of water from Tajewala barrage led to the flood.
New Delhi: Railways on Wednesday diverted 24 trains and cancelled 10 others due to flood in Yamuna river.
Following an increase in the water level, the old Yamuna bridge was closed for rail and road traffic since 300 hours IST, Northern Railway officials said.
As a result, 26 trains have been diverted, 27 short-terminated and 10 others stand cancelled, they said.
The water-level of the river increased due to release of 4,00,000 cusecs of water into western Yamuna from Tajewala barrage.
The river is flowing above the danger mark, they said.
