Online forum celebrates anniversary

ALUVA: ‘Samakaleena Keralam’, a Malayalam online community founded by Biju Krishnan, a UK-based NRI, celebrated its first anniversary at the Janaseva Sisubhavan in Aluva on Thursday.Kerala Congress leader and Oushadhi Chairman Johny Nelloor inaugurated the function which was presided over by A H Hafees, a representative of the community.The members of the forum spent time with the children at the destitute home before serving them a sumptuous lunch. The cultural programmes by the kids added colour to the event.“It feels good to be here with these kids. Its an idea put forth by the community founder,” said Hafees. “The children are happy to meet them and I’m happy about it,” said Jose Maveli, founder of the Janaseva Sisubhavan.
