HYDERABAD: A landlord was killed allegedly by his rivals at a petrol filling station on Ghatkesar main road on Sunday night. The deceased is said to be an associate of slain TDP leader Paritala Ravi and was released from prison two days back.
The victim, D Yadagiri (40) was a resident of Lalapet who was arrested and sent to judicial custody some time back in connection with the murder of his relative. Yadagiri had attacked his relative with a pestle leading to his death. According to Ghatkesar police, Yadagiri and his family members were returning to city in a fourwheeler after attending the funeral of their relative at Bibinagar in Nalgonda. While returning, they stopped their vehicle at a petrol pump to fill diesel when some assailants came on two motorcycles and attacked Yadagiri who got down."The assailants smashed Yadagiri's head with a boulder killing him on the spot,'' Ghatkesar police inspector Ch Srikanth said. The inspector said previous enmity might be the reason behind the murder.
