PC George asked to appear before court on Oct 2

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Vigilance Special Judge here on Tuesday ordered Chief Whip P C George to appear before the court on October 25 in connection with a petition that alleges George of contempt of court.As per the summons order served on George, he was scheduled to appear before the court on Tuesday. However, he did not turn up and in his absence, his counsel appeared, following which the judge postponed it to October 25. The court had served a summons notice on  George earlier, after it received in file a petition accusing him of contempt of court for making defamatory remarks on the court through the media.
