Radhakrishna Menon stood for marginalised

KOCHI: Justice K P Radhakrishna Menon was a person who influenced the Kerala society in his capacity as an ombudsman, recalled Justice V R Krishna Iyer. He was delivering the inaugural address at a meeting organised here on Sunday by the Kerala Hindi Pracharak Samiti in connection with the death anniversary of Justice K P Radhakrishna Menon.“Radhakrishna Menon’s remarkable directions were for the protection of Mangalavanam, ban on begging and improvement in the functioning of local bodies. He stood for the marginalised people and made efforts to ensure that the benefits of people’s planning reach them,” Iyer said.Kerala Hindi Pracharak Samiti state general secretary K M Nasar presided over the function while Justice  P K Shamsuddin delivered the keynote address.Justice Radhakrishna Menon commemoration meetings were organised in all districts on Sunday. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the valedictory function of the month-long observation of the death anniversary at Justice Krishna Iyer’s residence ‘Sad Gamaya’, on March 25.
