Raikkonen expects resolution to Lotus pay dispute

Singapore: Kimi Raikkonen is hopeful his pay dispute with Lotus will be resolved and he will not skip any of the remaining Formula One races this season.

Raikkonen revealed on Thursday that outstanding salary payments had been one factor that prompted him to quit Lotus and sign a contract with Ferrari for next season.

"I hope and believe that the salary payments will be handled at some point," Raikkonen told Finnish television. "I am going to all of the races. I do not have any interest in not driving - that's why I race, because I like it. I also don't want anything bad for the team. If I didn't come here to drive, it would do nothing to improve things."

Lotus team principal Eric Boullier confirmed there was money outstanding.

"We owe him money, that is true," Boullier said. "He is going to be paid, that is true too.

"Last year was the same story, we owed him and we paid him at the end of the year. It's just the way we manage our cashflow. That is not as sustainable as it could be."
