HYDERABAD: Federation of Andhra Pradesh Small Industries Associations (FAPSIA) president APK Reddy said the union budget offered nothing to boost small industries which have been the backbone of industrial sector. Subsidies were offered to the corporate sector while stepmotherly treatment was meted out to the small-scale industries, he said. He lashed out at the Centre for not mentioning the supply of uninterrupted power to industries. Reddy demanded the govt to focus on non-conventional sources like wind and solar energy. He demanded that individual taxation limit for small-scale entrepreneurs be raised to Rs 15 lakh and land be provided to MSMEs at a rate of Rs 3 lakh per acre.
