RTC buses to remote villages soon

HYDERABAD: The AP State Road Transport Corporation is planning to provide buses for rural areas not covered by RTC buses. With the transport utility identifying 3,000 to 4,000 villages unconnected by buses, the Union ministry of Road Transportation and the APSRTC will collaborate on the project.Revealing details about the project, RTC MD B Prasada Rao said the Centre would bear 80 percent of the project cost and the rest would be borne by the transport utility. He added that the bus services would be introduced in a phased manner. He also said they would introduce public address system in 12,000 buses soon.
