New Delhi: Encouraged by the response to its Galaxy Note series pf phones, Samsung is going bigger in its phablet plans. The South Korean electronics giant has announced a new range under its Galaxy series of smartphones - the Galaxy Mega.
The first two Galaxy Mega phones are the Galaxy Mega 6.3 and the Galaxy Mega 5.8, which have a screen size considerably larger than the Galaxy Note 2 that measures 5.5 inches.
The Galaxy Mega phones are equipped with an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera. Both the Galaxy Mega 6.3 and 5.8 run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and feature a dual-core processor and supprot 64GB of expandable memory.
Samsung says the Galaxy Mega smartphones will be available globally beginning May from Europe and Russia and the company press release makes no mention of the price.
