Samsung announced the launch of the Chromebook 2 Series. The new models are available in 11.6- and 13.3-inch configurations, and are believed to improve on the Samsung Chromebook line with faster performance and longer battery life.
The new Chromebooks have a textured lid and stitched design. The 13.3-inch model features a full HD (1920x1080) resolution screen and is claimed to offer up to 8.5 hours of battery life. The new devices are powered by Exynos 5 Octa processors.
The Samsung Chromebook 2 series comes with apps worth more than $100. It includes smartphone access and data management service Air Droid Premium, task management and collaboration app Wunderlist Pro.
Available from April, the 11.6-inch Samsung Chromebook 2 will be available for $319.99, while the 13.3-inch model will cost $399.99.
