New Delhi: Making tall claims comes naturally to politicians, one may say. But this one is as tall a claim as it can get.
Italy's right-wing leader Silvio Berlusconi on Tuesday said he is taller than Russian president Vladimir Putin or French president Nicolas Sarkozy.
Speaking at an election rally, the former prime minister wondered why in spite of being 1.71 metres tall (five foot six inches), caricaturists portray him as a dwarf.
Berlusconi has been the subject of a height comparison in Italy's biggest-selling daily.
French President Sarkozy measures 1.65 metres with Putin measuring 1.67 metres. Berlusconi also said his opponents had no taste in women and that his party's women candidates were more beautiful than the Left party's nominees
