Ambala: Amid high drama, a student of ITI in Ambala on Wednesday climbed on the roof of the institution's building and threatened to jump after his teacher allegedly did not allow him to sit in the classroom. The drama continued for two hours before the police persuaded him to climb down.
According to the police, the student, Mohit Saini, climbed onto the roof when his teacher allegedly did not allow him to sit in the classroom. The student allegedly had been abstaining from the class for quite sometime, they said.
When he came to the class in the morning, the teacher asked him to leave, students said. Saini threatened to end his life by jumping off the roof if he was not allowed to sit in the classroom.
The police later took the student into custody on the charge of trying to commit suicide. His parents were also informed, police said.
