KARIMNAGAR: Many Telangana MPs, MLAs and other leaders visited Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar, former minister T Jeevan Reddy and TRS Assembly leader Etela Rajender, who were remanded to judicial custody on Saturday, in the Karimnagar district jail on Sunday.Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, MPs K Keshava Rao, Gutta Sukender Reddy, G Vivek, Manda Jagannadham, Ramagundam MLA S Satyanarayana Reddy, Koppula Eswar, MLC Sridhar Reddy and TRS former MP B Vinod Kumar were among those who visited the jail in the afternoon. A few of them who were arrested on Saturday were released on Sunday morning.Speaking to newsmen after coming out of the jail, MP Keshava Rao questioned whether it was a Parliamentary form of government functioning at the Centre. He warned chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy not to underestimate the Telangana movement. “It will turn into a revolution if the government continues to stamp down T activists,” he said. Expressing anguish over the arrest of T leaders, Keshava Rao said that it was shameful of the Congress government to imprison their own party MPs. Recalling that the then president APJ Abdul Kalam promised separate Telangana during his address at a joint parliamentary session in 2004, Keshava Rao asked the state government to implement Kalam’s statement. Minister Komatireddy said T ministers were behaving like Seemandhra leaders in suggesting that T employees should call off their stir.
