TDP corporator nabbed for attack

HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad police arrested two corporators involved in different incidents in Hyderabad on Friday.A TDP coporator, M Bhanu Prasad, was arrested for allegedly attacking a former corporator at Hydernagar on June 12. Bhanu had a clash with former Congress corporator Narne Srinivas on June 12 at a function attended by Serilingampally legislator Bikshapathi Yadav in Sri Tulasi Nagar of Hydernagar.Local corporator Bhanu Prasad, reached the venue and had a spat with local Congress leaders for not informing him of the right timing of the function. The spat later developed into a clash between the two groups in which Bhanu and his associates injured Narne Srinivas and his aides.“The corporator has been absconding since then and we arrested him and 12 of his associates on Friday,’’ Kukatpally police inspector K Srinivasa Rao said. The accused were taken into judicial custody.In another incident, Mansoorabad corporator’s husband was arrested by Cyberabad police on Friday for vandalizing the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) office at Saroornagar a few days ago.Narasimha Reddy, husband of K Latha, picked up a quarrel with the EE at GHMC office. Narasimha was arrested by the police.
