Three of a vehicle-lifter gang held

HYDERABAD: Three of a four-member vehicle-lifter gang were nabbed by police on Wednesday and six two-wheelers recovered.The accused after stealing had sold the vehicles to persons from the Old City and Barkas.Task Force South Zone sleuths nabbed Mohd Abdul Esa alias Esa of Sultan Shahi, Mohd Maqsood Hussain alias Rahmath of Mirchowk and Mohd Imran alias Imran of Bazarghat and recovered six vehicles.“The accused stole vehicles and were earlier arrested by Langer Houz and Bhavani Nagar police.After being released, they once again started to commit auto thefts,” additional deputy commissioner of police (Task Force) M Srinivasulu said.Esa formed the gang and committed thefts automobile thefts from Punjagutta, Langer Houz and Chaderghat.Another accused, Imran, purchased three vehicles from the gang.“The gang sold vehicles to persons of Barkas and Yakutpura assuring the vehicles are finance default and no one can nab and recover the vehicles,’’ police said.
