The fashion institutes in the city follow a tradition of hosting annual fashion shows. One such event was a fashion show by the Inter National Institute Of Fashion Design (INIFD) to welcome freshers of their institute on October 18.Chief guest for the event, Sanjay Saraswat, INIFD regional director said, “Fashion industry is not just about glamour — there is a lot of hardwork involved in every collection that is showcased. This fashion show will inspire the freshers and provide a platform for them to start off a career in fashion.” There were total 10 sequences with collections showcasing attires in bright colours.Some of the sequences that were highlights of the event included — “I am tied with you”, that focused on the complexity of thread work on a fabric, ‘Indo Ellinika Kurtines’, that presented an ethnic kurta draped in trendy pleats and ‘Cissy gallant’, which aimed at the teenagers as to what they could sport on a holiday.
