Shivpuri: Uttar Pradesh police has rescued a woman from the captivity of her mother and brothers in the Shivpuri district of the state.
Police said the 22-year-old Rashmi Pawar called Police Commissioner R P Singh on Monday. She alleged that her mother Usha Pawar and brothers Bhanu and Sonu frequently asked for money from her. When she refused, they would beat her up and lock her in a room.
When the cops raided their place, they found Rashmi in captivity and promptly freed her. A case was also registered against the mother and brothers. The woman has been sent to her uncle's place.
