BANGALORE: The muchawaited expansion of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa’s Cabinet is likely to hit rough weather with growing differences between the CM and state BJP president K S Eshwarappa on the issue and also due to the long list of aspirants. While Yeddyurappa doesn’t want an expansion for now owing to stiff competition between his MLAs, Eshwarappa wants an immediate expansion as he feels a delay would lead to fresh problems.According to sources, Yeddyurappa, after receiving a rap from BJP senior leader L K Advani over his state administration, is more interested in improving the sagging image of his government than expanding his Cabinet and inviting fresh trouble. Therefore, he wants to defer it at least till the Lokayukta submits his final report on illegal mining as he anticipates more vacancies in his Cabinet. On the other hand, Eshwarappa is under pressure to fulfil promises he made to MLAs.
