Youth rapes Class IX student at gun point

A ninth class girl has accused a youth of abduction and rape at his home in Ranchi city, the police said on Saturday.

Based on the allegations by the girl, an FIR was filed against the 22-year-old youth, and police were trying to find him, Senior Superintendent of Police Saket Kumar Singh said.

According to the FIR, the youth kidnapped the girl while she was going to tuition, took her to his home and raped her at gun point on Thursday and kept her confined in his house.

The girl, somehow, managed to escape and reached home. Her parents later brought her to the police station to file the FIR.

She was sent for medical examination.
