Delhi, also known as the heart of India, has been know for the charm and aura. The culmination of modernity and history in the same place has made the city a favourite amongst filmmakers in the recent past.

Here is a list of some of the movies which managed to capture the essence of New Delhi:

Delhi-6

As the name suggests, Delhi-6 was mostly stot in the national capital. Red Fort and Connaught Place are some of the locations of Delhi was a part of the movie’s cinematography.

Kurbaan

The Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer movie was extensively shot in New Delhi. You can see Jama Masjid complex in the song 'Shukran Allah'.

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan

The romantic-comedy movie was shot across several locales of New Delhi. The Katrina Kaif- Imran Khan starrer movie’s song ‘Choomantar’ was almost entirely shot at the Humayun’s Tomb.

PK

The Raj Kumar Hirani movie starring Aamir Khan, was shot at many locations in Delhi, including Dilli Haat and Humayum Tomb.

Band Baaja Baarat

The movies revolves around the life of two students from Delhi University who want to make it big in their lives. Starring Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh, features Hansraj College, Miranda House and Kirorimal College.

Rang de Basanti

The story of six friends who help an English filmmaker create a documentary about Indian freedom struggle and in the process realise the importance of fighting for their rights. The song 'Masti Ki Pathshala' has been shot at India Gate.

Vicky Donor

The movie revolves around the life of a man who is brought in by an infertility doctor to supply him with his sperm. You can see Bangla Sahen Gurudwara in the song 'Pani Da Rang'.

Rockstar

The movie shows the rise of a Delhi lad to fame and becoming a 'Rockstar'. The notable amongst these locations is probably the Nizamuddin Dargah, where 'Kun Faya Kun' song was shot.
