Balakrishna Makes 1st Appearance Since Anjali Row at Chandrababu Naidu's Swearing-in Event, Meets PM Modi

Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the Telugu Desam Party, was sworn in as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh for the fourth time on Wednesday, June 12. The ceremony, held near Gannavaram Airport in Kesarapalli on the outskirts of Vijayawada around 11:27 am, also saw the attendance of film star and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna, marking his first appearance since the controversy where he was seen pushing away Anjali on stage after she couldn’t hear him, an incident that drew criticism on social media despite Anjali laughing it off.

In a video that is doing the round on social media, Balakrishna can be seen greeting PM Narendra Modi and Chirag Paswan as he arrives for the oath-taking ceremony. He also waved at the crowd. He was also seen greeting PM Narendra Modi and shaking hands with him. Check out the video here:

Nandamuri Balakrishna attended a pre-release event of Anjali’s upcoming film, ‘Gangs of Godavari’. In a video from the event that went viral, Balakrishna was seen pushing away Anjali on stage after she couldn’t hear him. Later, Telugu star Anjali shared her first social media post since Nandamuri Balakrishna pushed her at the Gangs of Godavari event and thanked him for attending the event. Taking to X, Anjali shared a collage of videos from the controversial event which featured many moments, including Balakrishna pushing her. While sharing the video, Anjali thanked Balakrishna for attending the event and seemingly brushed off the controversial incident by saying that they share a ‘great friendship’.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers JP Nadda, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and Chirag Paswan also attended the event. Union Home Minister Amit Shah was present as well. Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan was among the notable attendees.
