Renowned wrestler and actor Dara Singh needs no special introduction. The actor has left an indelible mark on the hearts of viewers with his portrayal of Hanuman in the 1987 television series Ramayan. Now, a biopic based on the life of the veteran actor is on the cards. Not just that, Dara Singh’s grandson Fateh Randhawa will play the titular role in the movie. During a recent interview, Dara Singh’s son, Vindu Dara Singh, shared his plans to make a film about his father.
Speaking to Zoom, Vindu Dara Singh said, “And it will star my son Fateh, who is fighting fit and raring to go. He has personally been trained by Jackie Chan. And if I may so, if there is anyone in my family who can match my father’s personality charm, and good look, it is my son.”
Vindu Dara Singh revealed that the script for the biopic is ready. He mentioned, “We finally have a script that my son Fateh likes. He is extremely particular about his debut and we convinced him that there could be no better launch for him than a film about his legendary grandfather.”
Vindu Dara Singh also spoke about Kabir Khan’s biography drama Chandu Champion. The actor has expressed his enthusiasm to watch the film as soon as possible as his father played a major role in influencing Kartik Aaryan’s character, Murlikant Petkar.
Chandu Champion was released in cinemas on June 14. The film tells the remarkable story of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist in freestyle swimming. Apart from Kartik Aaryan, the film features Vijay Raaz, Bhagyashree Patwardhan, Rajpal Yadav, Adonis Kapsalis, and Shreyas Talpade.
On the professional front, Vindu Dara Singh will be next seen in Director Yudhishthira Omparkash Sinhmar’s comedy film Bhaai Ki Shaadi.
