Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar celebrated their son Zehaan’s first birthday on Thursday, May 10. However, the birthday bash was disrupted by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. If a report by Times Now is to be believed, BMC officials demolished the entrance of the jungle-themed birthday bash because it was extended to the footpath outside the venue.
Reportedly, BMC officials arrived at the birthday venue and objected to the entrance being extended to the footpath. Initially, they asked the hotel management to remove it but when the staff did not act, BMC officials demolished the gate.
Meanwhile, Gauahar and Zaid’s son’s birthday bash was a star-studded event which was attended by several celebrities including Debina Bonnerjee, Vinny Arora, Mahi Vij and Pankhuri Awasthy. Hina Khan also attended the party.
Gauahar and Zaid got married in December 2020. They welcomed their first child, a baby boy in May 2023. The couple had joyfully announced the arrival of their son through a heartwarming post on social media which read, “It’s a boy. As Salaam U Alaikum beautiful world, says our bundle of joy. Arrived on the 10th of May 2023 to make us realize what happiness truly means. Our blessed boy thanks everyone for their love and prayers. Grateful and giggling new parents, Zaid and Gauahar (sic).”
Later, in an interview with Hauterrfly, Gauahar revealed that she drove herself to the hospital on the day of her delivery. “I had my doctor’s appointment and we were going and just then, my contractions began. And I was driving and I drove to my delivery with my husband next to me. We reached the hospital at 4:30 and he (Zeehan) was born at 9:30. I drove to my delivery,” she said.
However, the couple revealed their son’s face in March this year when Gauahar shared a picture of little Zehaan from their Kaaba visit. “Just wanted to give our little prince’ first Salaam to the world from the house of the Almighty! May he be pleased with our SonShine! Ameen. Our Zehaan (black heart and earth emojis). Request for continued positivity, love and blessings for him. Lots of love,” she wrote.
Gauahar Khan is a popular name in the entertainment industry who is known for her roles in Bagum Jaan and Ishaqzaade among others. She was last seen hosting the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 11 along with actor Rithvik Dhanjani which aired on Sony TV.
