Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam: Best remembered for its engaging narrative, this popular TV show is generally regarded as Yami’s ticket to stardom. Loosely based on the Hindi movie ‘Delhi 6’, it touched upon the sensitive issue of caste politics in UP. In the show the actress was paired opposite Gaurav Khanna. The two managed to create quite a buzz among audiences courtesy their crackling onscreen chemistry.

Ullasa Utsaha: Yami’s maiden big screen outing ‘Ullasa Utsaha’ revolved around the exploits of a careless young man who ends up falling in love with a girl residing in his locality. Directed by Devaraja Palan and shot in Kannada, it was a remake of the Telugu romantic-comedy 'Ulasamga Utsahmanga’. Released in 2009, ‘Ullasa Utsaha’ found moderate success at the box office.

Nuvvila: Produced by the legendary Ramoji Rao, ‘Nuvvila’ marked Yami Gautam’s debut in the Telugu film industry. Touted as a romantic-comedy, this Ravi Babu directorial highlighted the romantic adventures of three young men who work at a pizza joint. Released in 2011, it saw Yami paired opposite another debutant Ajay. Interestingly, ‘Nuvvila’ opened to a decent response at the ticket window.

Shot on a modest budget, ‘Vicky Donor’ found tremendous success at the box office.

Gouravam: Shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu, ‘Gouravam’ is undoubtedly the most controversial film of Yami’s career. Directed by Radha Mohan, it revolved around the sensitive issue of honor killing. A commercial success, 'Gouravam’ also featured newcomer Allu Sirish, Prakash Raj and Nasser in the lead.

Badlapur: Touted as an action-drama, ‘Badlapur’ created quite a stir among movie buffs and critics alike courtesy its violence narrative and sincere performance. In it, Yami was paired opposite upcoming star Varun Dhawan. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film fared well at the ticket window.
