Known and appreciated for his endearing acting skills, Sharman Joshi is all set to woo his fans with 'Hate Story 3' in an all new avatar. In his previous films like '3 Idiots', 'Golmaal' and 'Style', we've seen him perform roles that have pretty much defined innocence for Bollywood.
In an exclusive interview with IBNLive.com, Sharman, who shows no qualms in experimenting with his roles and playing challenging characters, said he would love to try his hand at biopics and sci-fi. He does not want to get judged on any one film that he chooses to do, rather he wants to enjoy the whole journey by keeping the excitement alive in his work. "I personally believe I can pull off any kind of role, character, and genre that is assigned to me. I don’t want to limit myself and do things in a particular way just because it suits others’ perception. I’ve to enjoy myself and only then will the audience enjoy."
His upcoming film 'Hate Story 3' deals with all the possible aspects in a relationship: love, lust and revenge. However, in real life, Sharman is a winsome old school boy who still likes to go the 'sex-after- marriage' way. He also believes that there are certain mantras that help any relationship to flourish. "Trust, faith and giving space to each other; these are all very important aspects of any relationship."
The actor who is now following a strict fitness regime admits that the younger generation these days is very health conscience. He feels that fitness 'immediately works on one's mind' ensuring a longer life and creating an all good factor. "Unless you really need to, don't push your body to the extreme limit as it is a little difficult to maintain it," he added.
'Ferrari Ki Sawaari' actor holds the view that one’s involvement with fitness depends on the individual’s personal priorities at different stages of life. "Maybe if someone’s too young, like an 18-year-old who has many more important things to do and have some girlfriends to take care of, he might not like to spend time on fitness but once he grows old, he should start taking care of himself."
Remembering his 'fun-filled' shoot days with co-stars Zarine Khan and Karan Singh Grover on the sets of 'Hate Story 3', he confessed that he and Zarine, who had to shoot a lot of intimate scenes ended up bitching about 'anything and everyone'. Talking about Karan, he said, "he is an 'easy going, fun loving and a very positive' guy."
Having great regards for director Vishal Pandya, Sharman revealed that while shooting, Vishal pointed out nuisances and mistakes in his performances and discussed it with him which really helped the actor to improve. As a performer, Sharman feels that it is a 'big high' for him when a director challenges you to do better.
Talking about the eviction of his brother-in-law Vikas Bhalla from "Bigg Boss Double Trouble", Sharman felt he didn't have a personality suited for the 'Bigg Boss' house, but had he been there more, he would have managed with his own way and his own style. “The show is about extrovert kinds of people, who can voice their opinions," he added while expressing his opinion about the show.
