Aarushi Nishank’s latest web series Life Hill Gayi has created quite a buzz among viewers. The coming-of-age series is packed with hilarious and heartfelt adventure, taking you on a journey filled with fun, emotions and drama. As the love continued to pour in for the series, its producer, Aarushi, sat down for a conversation wherein she made a controversial remark about Karan Johar.
While speaking with Filmygyan, Aarushi Nishank was asked to give a hashtag to the renowned filmmaker Karan Johar. Responding to the question, she said, “The flag bearer of Nepotism,” raising everyone’s eyebrows.
Karan Johar, during the world premiere of his film Kill at the Toronto International Film Festival, was asked to share his views on being labeled as ‘nepo mafia.’ The producer replied by saying, “You criticise us for everything. You curse us. You speak about the fact that we support and encourage nepotism, nepo babies, all the flak that comes to us.” He continued, “I wanna say if you give us the flak, then today give us the credit. Lakshya is a rank outsider. This is a very expensive film mounted entirely on him.”
Karan Johar’s last released Kill, was written and directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat. The film starred debutant Lakshya in the lead role. It also featured Raghav Juyal and Tanya Maniktala in the lead roles.
Coming back to Aarushi Nishank’s Life Hill Gayi, the film explores the sibling rivalry set against the stunning backdrop of Uttarakhand. The star-studded cast of the film includes Divyenndu Sharma, Kusha Kapila, Mukti Mohan, Vinay Pathak and more in the lead roles. Premiered on August 9, the show took two years of passion and dedication to be made.
Aarushi Nishank, while speaking about the star cast of the show, in a conversation with Wion, said, “Divyenndu brings such depth to his role, Mukti’s performance is mesmerizing, and Kusha Kapila – what a revelation! Kusha’s hard work and dedication to her character are evident in every scene. Watching her on screen being her hilarious, authentic self is pure joy. The entire cast has poured their hearts into this project, and it shows.”
