Mirzapur Season 3: Shweta Tripathi Sharma is gearing up for the release of Mirzapur season 3. Schedule to drop on Amazon Prime Video this Friday, July 5, the series will feature Shweta in a never-before-seen avatar. Ahead of the premiere of the new season, Shweta sat down for an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha and shared interesting details about it.
“I had read somewhere that Mirzapur is an emotion. Yes, it is for the audience, but for us, I really can’t tell you what it means. We have not experienced love like this. Wherever I travel, they look at me and go, ‘Arre, Gajagamini!’ Somehow the characters have connected with people,” Shweta told us.
Shweta confessed that she did not anticipate so much love for the show. “We went to do our work, and we really enjoyed it. Not just because of the cast and the script, but also because of the learnings that we had off-screen. One shift is usually for 12 hours. So, you are shooting for a good time, and then you are discussing, brainstorming, etc. So, how the people are, that really influences you as a person. So, I have taken something not just from the cast but also from the people I work with,” she added.

Talking about what to expect from Mirzapur 3, she said, “Mirzapur 3 is going to be an overdose of emotions. There’s going to be a lot of darkness in what we feel and how we feel. There will be a lot of unexpected twists and turns. Rest it is a family show. It shows family relationships between father-daughter or partners. It also shows the position that you have when you are in power.”
When some character resonates so much with you, it is hard to not be influenced by the character itself. When asked about the same, Shweta, who has played Gajagamini aka Golu in Mirzapur for three seasons now, told us, “When I need to reach out to the strength or the courage that I would want to have, I would think what would Golu do. She is one person who would keep her emotions in check. She doesn’t let people see what she is going through, in fact, she herself doesn’t accept it. Her veera energy is way higher than mine. All of us have a Golu inside us,” she concluded.
