Bollywood actress Neena Gupta will be seen in Panchayat 3. The highly-anticipated series drops later this month. While fans are excited to see the show, Neena revealed it was not an easy season to shoot. In a new interview, Neena revealed that the new season was being shot in the summer due to actors’ scheduling issues and the heat reached an unbearable point. She revealed that one day she found herself complaining while she was filming under the summer sun.
“I am happiest when I am working. At that time, I am not bothered about sand, 47-degree heat, and all if the work is good. When we did Season 3 of Panchayat, we again shot in peak summer because of date issues of people. We would keep wet cloths on our faces and necks. No matter how many umbrellas you have, when you are getting ready for a shot, before ‘sound’ and ‘action’, some time is taken to get the shot ready,” Neena told Mirchi Plus.
Recalling a scene she was shooting for the new season, Neena said, “In one shot, I was standing under the blazing sun, and the director announced ‘sound, action,’ so the umbrellas were removed. But it took some time to get the shot started, and I was burning. I was complaining to myself, saying, ‘Ye kya hai? (What is this?)’ Then I realized, and this is very important in life, that you can’t run away from this, you have to give the shot. So, accept it, and the moment I did that, I was okay.”
The Panchayat 3 trailer released earlier this month. The trailer revealed a new secretary is coming to the district this season. However, due to some circumstances old secretary Jitendra Kumar was called back. In the new season everyone is trying to uplift their image as the Panchayat elections are on head. It will be interesting to see how they will manage and how Jitendra will help them.
The latest season of the original comedy series brings back its much-loved star cast: Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, and Sanvikaa. Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, the light-hearted entertainer is written by Chandan Kumar and created by TVF.
Panchayat season 3 will release on May 28.
