Thalapathy Vijay took the theatres by storm with his latest hit, The Greatest of All Time aka The Goat. Helmed by Venkat Prabhu, the film hit theatres worldwide on September 5 and collected over Rs 400 crore at the box office. Thalapathy fans showered him with love for his performance in the penultimate film of his acting career. Now, as per reports, the Leo actor is gearing up for his last film, which has been tentatively named Thalapathy 69 and he wants to deliver a banger at the box office. Rumours have surfaced about the plot of the film which might make you feel absolutely shocked. Let’s take a look.
Thalapathy Vijay is busy gearing up for his upcoming film, Thalapathy 69. It is being directed by H Vinoth and bankrolled by the Kannada production company KVN Productions. As per the recent updates, the music composition for the upcoming film will be done by Anirudh Ravichander. Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol and Prakash Raj have been roped in by the makers. There are also reports that Malayalam actress Mamta Baiju may portray the role of Vijay’s sister. Now, the rumour mill is strife with reports that Thalapathy 69 will be a remake of a famous Telugu film.
Reportedly, Thalapathy 69 might be a remake of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari. The film was a huge hit at the box office and received praise from the audience. Apart from incorporating the commercial elements, it also carried a strong message of ‘good touch and bad touch’. It deals with important themes of how parents must raise their daughters. As per reports, Thalapathy Vijay may have chosen the message-oriented film as a safe choice because the Telugu film was a huge hit. No official announcement has been made regarding this.
It is widely known that Thalapathy 69 would mark his last film as a lead actor and after this Thalapathy Vijay will be venturing into politics. He has already announced his political party and there were rumours that the final film may also be related to politics. Once the makers reveal the title, there will be a bit more clarification.
