Virat Kohli recently asked a baker from Bengaluru to make a special birthday cake for wife Anushka Sharma. The baker, Uthishta Kumar, shared photos with Anushka, Virat, and the cake itself, featuring Virat’s heartfelt message: ‘Happy Birthday Mad One.’
Recalling the day, Uthishta wrote in the caption, “When Virat Kohli approached me to bake a cake for Anushka Sharma’s birthday, I knew I had to create something special! Nothing quite like a classic chocolate cake for a birthday celebration! From baking in my mum’s oven over the weekends to making a cake for one of the most accomplished sportsmen of our era, it’s been an amazing journey over the last eight years! Here’s to many more years of baking special cakes for all my wonderful customers!”
Back in 2022, Virat had revealed an interesting incident to a Royal Challengers Bangalore insider regarding Anushka. He had shared how he went to Thom’s Bakery in Bengaluru alone. He said that he wore a cap and mask to prevent himself from being identified. At the shop, Virat purchased everything Anushka liked. According to Virat, Anushka loves the puffs from this place.
Anushka turned 36 on May 1 and has been out of the public eye since giving birth to her son Akaay in February. She made her first appearance after Akaay’s birth at an IPL match in May. While she has supported Virat at some matches, she wasn’t seen at the stands during India’s recent WT20 final victory. Anushka and Virat also did not attend the Ambani festivities in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, currently in London, attended a kirtan by Krishna Das at Union Chapel last week. Fans suspect Virat and Anushka may move to London permanently for a quieter life, especially since they’ve been seen there often. In 2023, Virat took a break and spent time with Anushka in London. A viral photo showed them outside a restaurant, and Virat was later seen with Vamika at another London restaurant shortly after Akaay’s birth was announced.
