Earlier, Aditi Rao Hydari got candid about her viral Gajagamini walk in Heeramandi. In a conversation with Zoom, the actress admitted that she had no idea about it until Heeramandi director Sanjay Leela Bhansali explained to her what it actually was. Aditi Rao Hydari said, “I want to ask somebody, Sanjay sir, my dance teacher, what is it? Is it the Gajagamini walk, the swan walk? What walk is that I don’t know! I’ll say it was what Sanjay sir asked me to do. I followed Sanjay sir and what he told me. I know in Kathak there is Mayur chaal (peacock walk), then there is Gajagamini (walk of seduction), but I am sure it is in all the dance forms but I don’t know, I should find out.”
The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial premiered on Netflix on May 1. Apart from Aditi Rao Hydari, the series also features Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Sharmin Segal Mehta, Farida Jalal, Fardeen Khan, Shekhar Suman and Adhyayan Suman in key roles.
