Dil Raju Acquires Ranbir Kapoor Starrer Animal’s Distribution Rights: Reports

Ranbir Kapoor is set to surprise audiences with a never-before-seen avatar for his upcoming film Animal. Directed by Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh fame Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the crime action drama has generated much hype among the masses. Ranbir Kapoor’s fierce look in the film’s recently released character poster has also made fans curious. Presently, all eyes are on Animal’s teaser, which is to be unveiled by the makers on the actor’s birthday, September 28. Amidst this, another new update has come to the fore. According to a report in Track Tollywood, acclaimed Telugu film producer Dil Raju has acquired the distribution rights for Animal in all Telugu-speaking regions for a hefty amount.

The theatrical rights for Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal have been sold to Dil Raju for Rs 15 crore, reports claimed. As per Track Tollywood, the popularity of Sandeep Reddy Vanga in Telugu states is expected to be a boon for Animal. Also, Hindi films have a separate fanbase in Hyderabad. With these factors being taken into account, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer might fare well in the Telugu regions. Track Tollywood further states that with the word of mouth surrounding Animal turn positive, the film has the potential to gross Rs 50 crore in the Southern state, raking up the numbers at the box office.

Bobby Deol will be playing a major part in Animal. On September 26, the actor’s first look poster was dropped on X by film critic Taran Adarsh. It featured Bobby in an intense avatar. With blood dripping down his face, Bobby Deol gestures to someone to keep quiet by putting a finger on his lips. The poster was later reshared by Bobby on his social media handles. “Animal Ka Enemy” read his caption, indicating that he might play the antagonist in the film.

Rashmika Mandanna has been cast as the female lead for Animal. She will be sharing screen space opposite Ranbir Kapoor for the first time. Anil Kapoor has also been roped in for a crucial role in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial. While Rashmika will be playing the character of Geetanjali, Anil Kapoor will be essaying the role of Balbir Singh. Their first-look posters have made movie enthusiasts excited.

Animal also stars Qala fame Tripti Dimri and veteran actor Shakti Kapoor. The film is produced collaboratively under the banners of T-Series Films and Bhadrakali Pictures. The music is scored by the talented Harshavardhan Rameshwar. The much-anticipated Animal will hit the silver screens on December 1.
