Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s highly anticipated Pushpa 2 finally gets a release date. The makers have locked August 15, 2024 to release the big film. After the massive success of Pushpa 1, the makers have gone all out, to make a sequel that promises to be a massive entertainer.
Pushpa was released in December 2021 and was a massive hit not only in the Telugu-speaking regions but also across other parts of India. The action drama dealt with red sandalwood smuggling. The film collected over Rs 100 crore in Hindi alone.
Not just that, Allu even bagged the prestigious award for his stellar performance in Pushpa: The Rise. Allu Arjun made history with the win, becoming the first Telugu actor to bring home the National Award for Best Acting.
Allu also shared the big announcement on his Instagram with a new poster.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is one of the most awaited movies and while everyone is waiting eagerly for it. Recently, Rashmika Mandanna revealed that the shooting for the film is currently underway. On Friday, Rashmika, who plays the role of Srivalli in Pushpa, took to her Instagram stories and dropped a monochrome photo from the sets of the Sukumar directorial. She used the hashtag ‘Pushpa 2’ and dropped a black heart emoji.
This is not the first time that Rashmika Mandanna has shared an update on Pushpa 2. Earlier this year too, the actress wrapped up shooting for Animal, which marks her first collaboration with Ranbir Kapoor and penned down a note talking about her upcoming project – Pushpa 2. “Dear Diary, Today, hmm no actually last night I had a night shoot and I just wrapped up and I am back in Hyderabad and tonight I start work on Pushpa 2,” she had written.
Earlier this year, Allu Arjun shared his first-look poster of Pushpa 2 in which he was seen dressed in a saree with his face painted in shades of blue and red. He also sported bangles, jewellery, a nose pin and jhumkas. Last month, the look poster of Fahadh Faasil from the movie was also released. Fans speculate that Rashmika Mandanna’s look poster will also be released soon.
Besides Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, Sai Pallavi has also reportedly joined the film. Reportedly, the makers are also planning to get on board a Bollywood actor too. However, no name has been officially announced as of now.
