Raj Kundra Addresses 'Porn King' Tag, Says Happened Because He's Married: 'Shilpa Was Collateral Damage'
Social media trolls began calling Raj Kundra 'porn king' after he was arrest in a pornography case in 2021.

Raj Kundra opened up about the porn case he has been involved in since 2021. The businessman was named as the prime accused and was jailed for over two months. Following the case, social media trolls have dubbed him as ‘porn king’. Addressing this tag in a new interview, Raj said he believes he was subjected to this much trolling because he was married. If he was unmarried, he wouldn’t have faced half of this. Raj is married to Shilpa Shetty.

Speaking with Hindustan Times, Raj said, “It all happened because I am married to a celebrity. If I was not, I don’t think half this damage would have been done. I feel they weren’t getting at me, but my wife and kids. It’s really unfair that Shilpa had to bear the brunt of it. You attack me, no issues, she was collateral damage.”

He said that he constantly gets trolled about the case even as he tried to lead a normal life. “I delete and block trolls on social media, I don’t care. But the last thing I want is my wife and kids reading terms like this. Even today, when Shilpa posts a Valentine’s message, trolls start commenting ‘porn king’s wife’… they don’t know the facts!”

“They are not even giving the judiciary a chance to announce whether I am guilty. took a sabbatical from everything, was seen less at events for two years. Then a friend approached me saying they want to make a film based on the notes I wrote while inside the jail, which ultimately became the 2023 film UT69,” Raj added.

Raj Kundra Porn Case:

Raj Kundra was arrested in July 2021 in connection to the alleged creation and uploading of pornographic films on mobile applications. He was granted bail after almost two months. In 2022, Kundra wrote to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) claiming that he was innocent and alleged that it was all ‘personal vendetta’ of a businessman who connived with police officers to get him arrested. Kundra had also requested the central agency to probe the case and had further claimed that he was framed by the senior officers of the Mumbai Crime Branch.
