Shilpa Shetty Documents Her Recovery Post Accident, Says 'Mental Agony Is As Severe As Physical Pain'
Shilpa Shetty took to Instagram and shared the video of her leg injury and how she recovered from it with the help of physiotherapists and her daughter Shamisha.

Actress and fitness enthusiast Shilpa Shetty, who was injured on the sets of Rohit Shetty’s debut cop web series Indian Police Force, took to Instagram to share the happy news of her getting better and healthier. The 47-year-old actress mentioned that the “mental agony has been as severe as the physical pain" of the injury and that the past 8 weeks had seen its share of “frustration, anger, sadness, and helplessness."

A self-proclaimed workaholic, Shilpa aded that one of the biggest sources of her motivation was her daughter Samisha; who was present for every physiotherapy session. In her lengthy Instagram caption, the actress shared that as time passed, she realized that her daughter was eagerly waiting for her mother to pick her up, of course without any pain or discomfort. Shilpa also mentioned that her daughter’s “smiles, hugs, little sweet nothings, and kisses" were all the pick-me-ups she needed on several days.

Pointing towards an important reminder, the actress mentioned that while we all handle “stressors and pain points differently", there is no reason for us to suffer alone. She recommended seeking expert help if you ever feel like you’re not handling your feelings by yourself in the right way. She wrote in her caption: “If you know of someone who is struggling for whatever reason, extend help and support. There couldn’t be a more apt day than Mental Health day to discuss this."

Shilpa added that “broken hearts and spirits aren’t any less painful than broken bones. Everyone deserves to heal from them all", replete with a heart and a rainbow emoji. Meanwhile, the Life In A Metro actress also conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to her doctors and physiotherapists Dr Kalpesh Gehlani and Nityanand Chauhan for ‘handholding’ her throughout the process of recovery, all the while doing it with “so much love." Shilpa also thanked her fans and wellwishers and wrote: “To all my well-wishers for all your prayers and good wishes ♥️????"
