The 2024 Audi Q7 was reportedly observed testing with minimal camouflage. This is not a new-generation vehicle; rather, it is a second makeover for the premium Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
This upgrade will extend the life of the second-generation Audi Q7 as a stopgap solution until the fully-electric next generation Q7 successor arrives. However, the prototype shows some significant new cosmetic changes that have been made to make it seem modern.
For 2024, the Q7, like numerous other Audi cars, will come standard with adaptive cruise control. A remote-start option is added to the Q7; however, it is accessed via a smartphone app rather than the key fob. Unlike other German luxury automobile makers such as Mercedes and BMW, which have changed their flagship SUVs to new generation models, Audi has kept current version of Q7 for a long time. Meanwhile, Volvo has also extended the life of the current model XC90.
2024 Audi Q7: Design, Engine And Launch
In these spy images, the front profile displays a fresh grille design with an entirely different pattern. The headlights are comparable in size, but have redesigned detailing and LED DRL positioning. The bumper has also been updated. With the exception of the new alloy wheel design, there will be no alterations to the side profile. While this is still a prototype, Audi’s upcoming Q7 will feature bigger, more premium-looking wheels. The back part appears to be the same as well, however the lights and bumper may be updated.
According to MotorBeam, Audi is likely to upgrade the inside extensively to match the tech-laden new generation premium SUVs, including huge displays for infotainment and the digital cluster. The upholstery and colour schemes will be new. There will be a broad range of additional features available to make it more competitive in the market.
The Q7 comes equipped with a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen and a smaller 8.6-inch touchscreen positioned below it to regulate temperature and change car settings. Audi has included this new infotainment system into every model in its lineup, including the Q8 SUV, the A6, A7, and A8 vehicles.
In international markets, Audi will reportedly offer a variety of diesel and petrol engine options with the new Q7. There will also be an improved plug-in hybrid variant with a stated range of up to 100 km in electric-only mode. The diesel and petrol engines will have 48V mild-hybrid technology. In addition, only petrol engines will be available in the Indian market. Furthermore, the global launch is scheduled for early 2024. Audi is expected to introduce this new marvel in the Indian market shortly after its worldwide debut.
