West Bengal Board Madhyamik 10th Result 2021: Schools Allegedly Spike Internal Marks
West Bengal has warned schools to not spike the marks, any school involved in the malpractice will face action

Several schools have allegedly spiked the marks of students enrolled in their schools while submitting the marks for West Bengal Madhyamik or West Bengal Board class 10 exams. As per the board, many schools have increased the marks given to their students in class 9 and uploaded the spiked marks on the board website.

Since the class 10 board exams are not being held this year, the schools have been asked to upload marks based on special criteria. For evaluation of students for class 10, marks of class 9 are also been considered. Schools are allegedly increasing the marks obtained by students in class 9 while calculating the results.

This has come to the notice of the West Bengal Board who has issued a notice against the said schools. The state board has warned the schools against any malpractice and said if any schools are found to spike marks, “appropriate action” will be taken against them.

Schools have been asked to upload marks on the online portal the deadline of the same ends on June 24. The board will evaluate and compile the result and declare the same in July.
