2G: SC dismisses review plea filed by telecos
The government's review petition in the scam was, however, admitted, and listed for hearing in open court on April 13.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed a plea by telecom companies to review its February 2 judgement cancelling the licences of 122 companies in the 2G spectrum scam.

The apex court, however, admitted the government's review petition in the scam. The petition has been listed for hearing in open court on April 13.

Seven petitions filed by telecom companies and one plea each by the PMO, the Centre, and A Raja were heard. Raja pleaded for a review, saying the SC judgement violated the "principles of natural justice" and "judicial norms" and that he was indicted without being heard.

The apex court had set a June 2 deadline for the 2G licenses to stand cancelled. The government virtually sought an extension to act on it.
