BJP aims to enlist 50 lakh members in West Bengal
"A nationwide membership drive has been started by the party. In Bengal also the drive has started and we aim to achieve 50 lakh membership when it comes to an end," Rahul Sinha said.

Kolkata: The BJP West Bengal leadership is aiming at 50 lakh members in the state by the end of March 2015, party state president Rahul Sinha on Monday said. "A nationwide membership drive has been started by the party. In Bengal also the drive has started and we aim to achieve 50 lakh membership when it comes to an end," Sinha said.

BJP national secretary Siddharth Nath Singh, who is also in-charge of Bengal, today held a meeting with the state leadership and chalked out a strategy to reach out to all sections and every corner of the state with the party's membership drive.

"My target is higher than 50 lakh given the response the BJP is getting from the masses of the state. We are engaging all kinds of tools, from party worker mobilisation to social media, to reach out to the masses," Singh said. In the mean time, former woman cricketer Gargi Banerji today joined BJP state unit.
