The elections will be held in seven phases, with the first on April 19, the second on April 26, the third on May 7, the fourth on May 13, the fifth on May 20, the sixth on May 25, and the seventh on June 1

The Lok Sabha elections will be held in seven phases beginning from April 19 and results will be announced on June 4.

There are 97.8 crore eligible voters of which 49.72 crore are male voters and 47.1 crore are female voters. As many as 1.5 crore polling officials have been deployed for 10.5 lakh polling stations. Over 55 lakh EVMs will be used.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, voting was held in seven phases. There were a total of 91.2 crore eligible voters with about 43.8 crore female voters and nearly 47.3 crore male voters.

  • Polling in single phase: Arunachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Ladakh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Punjab, Sikkim, Puducherry, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
  • Polling in 2 phases: Karnataka, Manipur, Rajasthan, Tripura
  • Polling in 3 phases: Assam, Chhattisgarh
  • Polling in 4 phases: Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha
  • Polling in 5 phases: Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir
  • Polling in 7 phases: Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal

In the first phase, around 10 states and union territories will be covered fully.

In the first phase, polling will occur in 102 constituencies, while the second phase will see 89 constituencies going to polls. The following phases will witness polling in 94, 96, 49, 57, and 57 constituencies, respectively.
