Polling for 270 out of 272 wards across three corporations was held on April 23 which saw a voter turnout of 53.58%.
The BJP came back to power in the North Delhi Municipal Corporation by winning 66 wards. The Aam Aadmi Party, which was debuting in the MCD polls, was a distant second with 20, wards while the Congress got 15. In 2012, the North Corporation had gone to the BJP which won 59 wards and the Congress had got 29.
