The party and government will commemorate the completion of one year of its government as 'Jan Kalyan Parv' celebrations.

Mathura: With the Narendra Modi government completing one year in power on Tuesday, the Prime Minister will address a rally in Mathura on Monday. More than 1 lakh people are expected to attend the rally which will be held in Nagla Chandrabhan, the native village of Jan Sangh leader Deen Dayal Upadhyay.

There is very tight security at the rally venue and the Uttar Pradesh government has made foolproof arrangements.

In a big announcement at Mathura rally, Modi is likely to announce the implementation of One-Rank, One-Pension scheme for over 25 lakh ex-servicemen. The scheme implies paying a uniform pension to personnel retiring in the same rank with the same length of service, irrespective of their date of retirement.

BJP sources said this will be the first of a series of public rallies being organised by the party across the country during the week long celebrations from May 26 to 31 that will be addressed by various leaders.

The party and government will commemorate the completion of one year of its government as 'Jan Kalyan Parv' celebrations.

Union Ministers, BJP MPs and party functionaries will travel across the country to inform people about the welfare measures taken for the underprivileged sections and farmers as part of a week-long 'Jan Kalyan Parv'.

Modi led the BJP-led NDA to a massive win in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections whose results were announced a year ago on May 16. It was after 30 years that any party managed to secure majority in the Lok Sabha with the BJP alone winning 282 seats.
