New Delhi: The Home Ministry on Monday dismissed reports that Rajnath Singh has plans to meet his Pakistani counterpart on the sidelines of the SAARC conference in Nepal later in September.
The Home Ministry tweeted that terror and talks cannot go together. It went on to say that unless Pakistan stops terrorism and violence, no dialogue is possible with the neighbour.
"Unless Pakistan stops terrorism and violence no dialogue is possible," the Home Minister's office said.
There have been multiple ceasefire violations by Pakistan since the Modi government took charge. But ties with Pakistan hit rock bottom when India called off foreign secretary levels talks last month after Pakistan held talks with Kashmiri separatist leaders.
