Popular folk dancer Gautami Patil’s highly-anticipated Marathi film Ghungroo hit the theatres on December 15. Directed by Baba Gaikwad and produced by Shrimat Dhakane under Manoharay Film Production, the film featured the Lavani dancer in the lead role. Days after the film was released in theatres, the dancer is back with another single track, which is making headlines for her sensuous look. Gautami Patil’s captivating performance and infectious energy in the song titled Cheez Lai Kadak have caught netizens’ attention. The song, written by Vicky Wagh, was dropped on Saptasur Music’s YouTube channel. The music for the song is composed by Vaishali Samant. It features Gautami Patil, Kunal Patil, Kunal Masle, Manoj Kumbar, and Adam Sheikh. The song Cheez Lai Kadak features a story, which shows a woman dancing in the hideout of gangsters.
The song, within a day of its release, has amassed a total of 27K views on YouTube. Gautami’s bold moves and on-point expressions have seemingly yielded a good result, which is significantly transferring into the number of views. As Cheez Lai Kadak proceeds toward its end, it is revealed that Gautami’s character is a police officer in the song. She disguised herself as a bold dancer, as she was on a mission to nab the criminals.
Reportedly, Gautami’s Ghungroo was released in 100 theatres across Maharashtra. The film’s poster featured Gautami in Lavani attire, marking her entry into the Marathi film industry. The movie unravels the lives of artists while also emphasising the significance of women artists engaged in folk art centres. Shot in various locations across six states, including Maharashtra, Punjab, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, and Andhra Pradesh, the film was released in six different languages.
Her last song titled Ghotala’s release coincided with the film’s premiere on December 15. In an interaction with News18 Lokmat, Gautami revealed that the audience would resonate with the song. She also urged her fans to shower it with the same love they’ve been showering on her previous works.
