Apple Music Classical App Now Available On iPad: Here's All You Need To Know
Apple Music Classical first appeared on the iPhone in March this year, later expanding its availability to Android devices through the Google Play Store in May.

The Apple Music Classical app is now available for iPads users. The Classical app will be available for free for users who have a normal Apple Music subscription. Apple Music and Apple Music Classical are two separate iPhone apps.

The key difference between the two apps is how Apple Music Classical handles metadata. This includes detailed information about composers and conductors, fine-grained search and specially curated playlists as well as recommendations.

Apple Music Classical first appeared on the iPhone in March this year, later expanding its availability to Android devices through the Google Play Store in May. The company has now begun releasing the newest version (version 1.1) of the Music Classical app on the App Store.

This update features a redesigned interface optimized for larger displays, such as iPads. The latest version includes a navigation sidebar and a toolbar for media controls while playing content.

As reported by 9to5Mac, the most recent update marks the first significant enhancement to Apple Music Classical since its introduction in May. Previous updates primarily consisted of minor bug fixes.

According to Apple, Apple Music Classical is the “ultimate classical music experience,” offering hundreds of expertly curated playlists, thousands of exclusive albums, detailed biographies of composers, in-depth guides on significant works, user-friendly browsing tools, and a host of other features.

Apple also promises that the audio tracks will be streamed in the “highest audio quality available”—up to 192 kHz/24 bit Hi-Res Lossless and with Spatial Audio support. Apple will provide additional metadata to help users identify the work and the artist playing, as well as thousands of editorial notes with composer biographies, key works descriptions, and more

There are currently over 5 million tracks and over 50 million data points with data attributes of 20,000+ composers, 115,000+ unique works, and 350,000+ movements available on the app.
