The change is to promote 'deeper connections' in light of the large volume of people using the service.
Dating app Tinder is preparing to announce a major change to its algorithm in the coming days, its CEO indicated at the Web Summit in Ireland.
Tinder's plans were revealed via a tweet from the Web Summit, with Mashable offering more details.
According to the tech website, Tinder CEO and founder Sean Rad said that the change -- the most significant to its algorithm yet -- was hoped to boost connections made on the app by 30 per cent.
Rad noted a desire to promote "deeper connections" in light of the large volume of people using the service.
Tinder currently sees 1.6 billion swipes and 26 million matches per day.
