Visuals of Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde were displayed at the famous Times Square in New York to mark the leader’s birthday. A video showing a slideshow of Mr Shinde in action with fellow politicians has gone viral on the microblogging website ‘X’.
Mr Shinde turned 60 on February 9, Friday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was amongst the many leaders who extended their heartfelt wishes to Maharashtra CM Mr Shinde. PM Modi praised Mr Shinde as “dynamic” and “industrious” CM of Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, Shinde has supported the concept of simultaneous polls, saying frequent elections are not good for the economy and hamper growth.

In a letter to the chairman of the high-level committee on ‘One Nation One Election’ Ram Nath Kovind, Shinde said simultaneous polls are one of the “most critical reforms” proposed by the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
