Get ready to have your taste buds tantalised by a unique concoction- “Biryani Chai”.

The amalgamation of two dishes might sound strange, but a chef and an influencer promise this improbable combination tastes “absolutely amazing”. As most strange food combos are created by street food vendors, this unique recipe is shared by Neha Deepak Shah, who has earlier won Masterchef India Season 4. Unlike what the name suggests, the clip shows, the tea leaves are brewed with two-inch cinnamon sticks, one-star anise, seven to eight black peppercorns, three to four cardamoms, half a teaspoon of fennel and half a teaspoon of tea leaves to make biryani chai. The video creates confusion among Instagram users and chai lovers. A user wrote, “Don’t make chai again or don’t call it chai. It’s kaada.” Another commented, “Thank God she actually didn’t put biryani in it.”

Several new recipes for tea have failed to impress food enthusiasts and have received thumbs down from tea lovers. Recently, Bangladeshi food vlogger Sultana’s Cook shared a video of a unique egg and fruit tea on Facebook, but it was a miss. A chef’s recipe of ‘chaiscream’ where he is seen putting a cup of chai onto the cooling pan of an ice cream roll maker sent tea aficionados into a complete frenzy. He then continues by adding milk and combining it with chocolate syrup. The cook scrapes off the mixture as it freezes and tops the chai ice cream rolls with a heaping dollop of chocolate syrup.
